What is The O-Shot ®?
The O-Shot ® may be for you! This revolutionary non-surgical treatment uses your own concentrated platelets called PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) which comes from a simple blood draw and then injected back into the targeted areas to stimulate vaginal and clitoral rejuvenation enhancing women’s sexual function. (Read more about PRP FAQ, click here) It is also being used to significantly improve stress and urge incontinence. At least 40 % of women suffer from Female Sexual Dysfunction (FSD). Common symptoms of FSD are decreased vaginal lubrication, pain and discomfort with intercourse (dyspareunia), decreased arousal, lack of libido (sex drive), weak orgasm or difficulty achieving orgasm. Although causes can include psychological and medical reasons, many are related to atrophy, decreased blood flow and other changes or trauma to the female anatomy. FSD is more common than you think. Only 57% of women versus 95% of men are able to achieve an orgasm. Only 14% of women discuss their sexual difficulties with their doctors partly due to lack of treatment options as well as embarrassment. For many years, most research and treatments for sexual dysfunction have been focused solely on men. There are so few SAFE and effective treatment options for women until now! The O-Shot® may be the answer for many women!
The O-Shot® is not just for women that feel they have sexual difficulties but can also enhance sexual experiences for women with normal sexual function!.
….And if you have ever experienced urinary accidents when you cough, sneeze or try to work out The O-Shot ® has been highly successful in treating women’s stress and urge incontinence issues. Growth factors within the PRP rejuvenate and restore weakened muscular/erectile tissue near the urethra allowing improved ability to retain urine. If not treated urinary incontinence can worsen with age and improper treatment. The O-Shot ® can help prevent further embarrassing accidents and allow you to live life to the fullest.
How is the O-Shot ® performed?
A simple blood draw is done to obtain your plasma and the platelets are isolated from that mixture using an FDA-approved system and centrifuge. During the preparation of the PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), a small amount of topical numbing medication is applied to the clitoris and vaginal wall as well as a lidocaine block is used to add greater anesthetic relief for your comfort making this procedure virtually pain free! The PRP is injected in specific region of the clitoris and vaginal wall where women experience sexual response.
What else can The O-Shot ® treat?
Stress Urinary Incontinence.
Enhance sexual pleasure in those with normal sexual function
Vaginal Scarring from trauma, episiotomy scars, past surgeries
The amazing thing about PRP and The O-Shot ® is that there is now hope for women that have suffered with pain from the above conditions. Treatments are safe compared with alternative treatments like medications that can cause multiple side effects. Although nothing works 100% of the time these treatments are a safe and natural alternative with no reported side effects in its applications that has helped many women regain their quality of life!
How does The O-Shot® treat Stress Urinary Incontinence?
Stress Incontinence is very common in women of all ages and can occur for a variety of reasons and not just after having kids. Weakened pelvic floor muscles can occur over time with age and many women, young or old, may find they have difficulty holding their urine when they sneeze, exercise, cough or even in normal daily situations. Lifestyle modifications, physical therapy and Kegel exercises along with medications have been usual treatments for stress and urge incontinence but still many women continue to suffer from urinary accidents. The O-Shot ® can be your solution to regain confidence in your everyday activities without having to worry about embarrassing accidents.
When will I see results?
For sexual health, some women see an immediate increase in sexual desire and pleasure however typically it may take up to 12 weeks to notice the biggest difference. For urinary incontinence, some women notice immediate relief from stress and urge incontinence.
Results can typically last an average of 12-18 months or more with one treatment but some women decide to have treatments done more often.
For lichen sclerosus or more severe issues, more than one treatment may be needed to have greatest relief however many women have noticed significant relief from pain and itching after the first treatment. Your recommended number of treatments will be discussed by Dr. Arcila but typically require no more than 3 treatments in a series a few weeks apart. Many women have noticed if symptoms return, they are less severe and more manageable and opt to repeat treatments as needed.
What is the difference between The O-Shot ® other PRP or stem cell injections?
The O-Shot ® is a specific technique created by Dr. Charles Runels and only those providers specifically trained in Vampire Treatments are using these techniques that have been having fantastic results. PRP injected in the wrong way could result in ineffectiveness or worse. The name O-Shot® is protected by US Patent & Trademark Law and only physicians who are members of the O-Shot ® provider group are licensed to use the name and trusted to perform the procedure.
What is the difference between The O-Shot ® and The G-Shot ® ?
The G-Shot ® attempts to inject non-FDA approved filler into the G-spot ® to try to increase its size in an effort to enhance sensitivity and increase sexual friction. The G-Shot ® can come with significant complications like granuloma, urethral stricture, bladder occlusion and other structural damage. Also since the G-spot may be different in each woman, accuracy of the injection may be difficult.
This is not to be confused with the O-Shot® which uses your own PRP (growth factors) to increase blood flow to the clitoris and vaginal area and returning your tissue involved in sexual pleasure back to normal healthy function. With the O-Shot®, we are just making your Orgasm System naturally work better. There has never been a documented complication from the O-Shot®.
Is The O-Shot ® Safe?
Absolutely! PRP (Platelet-rich-Plasma) is natural and comes from your own blood allowing growth factors to rejuvenate and restore tissue and blood vessels and has no chance of foreign body reaction and therefore has no real risk of side effects or complications. Since the start of its use of PRP, there has never been a documented complication of this procedure in any medical literature.
